Yoga by Clare
This project focused on refining and restructuring the client’s wellness website to improve usability, visibility, and visitor engagement. The updates covered the full user experience — from navigation and imagery to email list integration and blog readiness — while keeping the interface minimal and brand-aligned.
Technology –
- WordPress
Challenge
The original site had several usability and content hierarchy issues:
- Key buttons like “Book Now” were non-functional or poorly styled
- Navigation was cluttered, especially around the yoga class categories
- Imagery and links were not guiding users to deeper content
- The footer was overly crowded, and the mailing list was not connected
- There was no blog structure or page for new offerings like Reiki
This made the site less actionable for users, and harder to grow as a platform for Clare’s offerings.
Solution
A series of thoughtful updates were made to create a clearer, more intuitive browsing and conversion experience:
Header & Navigation Improvements
- The site’s brand button is now prominently visible
- The “Book Now” CTA has been fixed and tested for all screen sizes
- Menu spacing and alignment have been corrected for visual clarity
Yoga Class Navigation Refinement
- Both “Yoga for Equestrians” and “Yoga for Children” are now properly nested under “My Yoga Classes” in the menu for intuitive discovery
Clickable Front Page Images
- Class image blocks like Yoga for Horse Riders, Local Classes, and Yoga for Children now link directly to their respective detail pages, allowing for faster user engagement
Footer Cleanup and Mailing List Integration
- Removed social media icons except for Facebook and LinkedIn
- Replaced default logo with Clare’s custom brand logo
- Verified all footer links
- Ensured “Join our mailing list” form is functional and integrated with Clare’s preferred email platform
Contact Page Updates
- A simplified contact form has been implemented: Name, Email, Phone number, Free-text query
- Mailing list opt-in now works and stores submissions correctly
Blog Page & Template
- A new Blog section has been created with a clean, reusable template
- The blog is now ready to publish ongoing reflections and teachings
- First post, “The Art of Aparigraha,” has been migrated to provide an initial content seed
New “Reiki by Clare” Page
- A dedicated page has been created to showcase Clare’s Reiki services
- Includes a simple contact form for direct Reiki session enquiries
Final Result
The enhanced website now:
- Supports a seamless navigation experience across Clare’s service offerings
- Encourages bookings, email signups, and content engagement
- Showcases yoga classes and Reiki offerings with clarity and professionalism
- Offers a clear path for Clare to publish thoughts and connect with her community
The tone, design, and structure now better reflect the warmth and intention of Clare’s practice — accessible, welcoming, and aligned with her brand mission.
